A Method of R&D Electronic Product for Application by

Carlos Fernando Jung, Carla Schwengber Ten Caten, José Luiz Duarte Ribeiro

Abstract

This paper describes a method for research and development (R&D) of electronic product for use by independent engineers, designers and inventor. The method was under continuous development and optimization from 1980 to 2008 and the concept is based on the analysis and synthesis of 13 product development methodological models. The method was originally proposed to suit the needs of a small company engaged in research, development and production of industrial electronic audio processing products for Radio Broadcasting Stations. The method was optimized with the assistance of Researchers from the Center of Technological Innovation of the Vale do Paranhana -

one of a series of such Centers established by the Program of Technological Innovation promoted by the Government of the State of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. As a result, a method was obtained particularly suitable for utilization by independent engineers, designers and inventors to facilitate the creative process and increase efficiency in the design of new products, and especially to ensure that the incorporation of these elements results in more innovative and competitive products.
