ÁREA: 09. Work and Human Factors
RESUMO:
In the digital society, recent studies showed that individuals have to perform tasks based on the information gathered by a huge amount of data and effectively use them to express their cognitive and motor abilities. The cognitive task is considered a job with prevalent cognitive demand; on the contrary, a motor task is a job with a prevalent physical need. The model allowed to evaluate the motor and cognitive information processing time based on two physiological parameters (i.e., maximum Oxygen Consumption and Heart Rate) by varying the operator's age and sex. The effectiveness of the model on a numerical case study is tested. The work conducted proved that it is possible to predict a general motor-cognitive task's processing time based on objective parameters allowing to take account of the difference between individuals of different ages and sex.
